How to Close/Open

If you are using MS Windows and either Firefox or Internet Explorer browser, go to this page.

Select the viewing mode here:

(other modes will be made available)

In each element of the list below you can

  • see an image of the polyhedron by pressing the image at the left
  • if a net is available
    • see an image of the net by pressing the image at the right
    • see an animation of the conversion of the polyhedron to the net by pressing the arrow from left to right
    • see an animation of the reverse conversion (from the net to the polyhedron) by pressing the arrow from right to left
  • see and manipulate the polyhedron by pressing the icon at the upper left corner (full version) or the following icon (light version)

    In the case of the CDF corresponding to the heavier version, if the free rotation, translation and/or resizing movements are made with the mouse on the polyhedron, it will lose the cylindrical edges and spherical vertices during the movement (to allow greater speed in handling), returning to the original appearance when you release the mouse.
    However, if you wish, you can perform the free rotation, translation and/or resizing movements with the mouse over the area surrounding the polyhedron, in which case it will keep the cylindrical edges and spherical vertices during movement.

The imagery available here were prepared using Mathematica.

When viewing any web page with an embedded CDF in Windows, Internet Explorer or Firefox, the F11 key (used to activate/deactivate Fullscreen) crashes after handling the CDF. (Wolfram has been notified of this behaviour.)
When this occurs:

  • In Firefox, the solution is to go to Task Manager, and end the tasks related to Firefox and Mathematica CDFPlayer on the "Processes" tab;
  • In Internet Explorer, you can exit Fullscreen by clicking in the upper left corner of the page "Go back" (the link is hard to see).
