Images and diagrams are more and more a pedagogical tool in the teaching of mathematics. This page contains several examples that illustrate the idea that a diagram or a picture may induce us to discover some mathematical results.

Since many browsers are blocking Java nowadays, it was decided (in 2020) to convert to Javascript the original applets of this section. This conversion was carried out by a high-school teacher, who is working full-time in Atractor with the support of the Ministry of Education, and also within the scope of a support received from FCT - Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, through FACC (Fundo de Apoio à Comunidade Científica.
